They are Grade A 1 1/2" Manila, which means they will handle any and everything you throw at them and more. Manila also means that you don't have to worry about the rope getting sweaty or hard to grip, preventing athletes from slipping - it is the best climbing rope material.
Manila rope is made from the stems of Abaca plant. It can be spliced easily and able to repeatedly get wet and dried out without losing its strength or splitting. Better for outdoor use where it's exposed to humidity and moisture. The best all around fiber.
