I love the bar. It's no longer annoying to set up for deadlift and I've moved over to doing squats with it as well. It's perfect for bumper plates because it does lean to one side once put a 45lb plate on until you balance it out but it's no problem with bumper plates. I'm not sure how it would work with something smaller like an iron 25lb plate. The only downside I've found is the packaging. The box was shredded by the time it got to me. the sleeves were not the issue. It was actually the handles and the stand that had punched through. The stand got a little scratched but not all the way to the metal so just some finish damage and that's going to be getting dirty anyway so I don't care too much. I would still recommend some extra protection in the packaging though. I think I got a little lucky or maybe unlucky depending on how you look at it.

I received the package. Everything looked good. When I took the open trap bar out of the box. It was nicely packed. When I unpacked the bar. That’s when I saw things wrong with the bar. The center knurling is missing. On the left side of the sleeve. The end cap is loose and making sound. On the right side of the sleeve. It looks smashed and deeply scratched up. I contacted customer service. I’m returning the bar. Gonna try one more time. Hopefully the new bar that I should be getting is new. Not used looking and defective. I gave this a one star because the item didn’t show up brand new. Like I mentioned looks used jacked up/ defective.

Item arrived with deep scratches and chipping coating on the high handles and the jack stand feet. In the future the high handles should be wrapped with packing material because it isn't protected by the Styrofoam in the box. Overall I do really like the design of the bar and it has been working well for me.

This is my 2nd purchase of this Trap Bar. Reason I have 2 is because of Syracuse weather. One in the basement other in garage. I find the compact size a plus in my garage gym that I sold an older bigger bar. The size of this bar is perfect for apartment set up. Easy to move around. Gold sleeves look sharp. Knurling is one of the better ones compared to a competitor’s similar bar. If I was to improve the bar I would say knurling marks

What more can I say about this OTB other than it’s been outstanding. Great build quality and feels great loaded up. The jack stand is very functional and it’s easy to store in my Garage gym. Extra style points for that Golden Midas touch.
